Blanca N. Diaz, CMP
In January 2009, Blanca Diaz launched BND Meetings, a meeting management services company specializing in corporate and association programs, medical meetings CME-accredited and promotional, special events and customer appreciation programs.
Blanca has more than a decade of experience in the meetings management industry. She began her meeting planning career as a corporate event planner for The McGraw-Hill Companies and has since held managerial positions with several Fortune 500 companies, including The Leading Hotels of the World and BMW of North America, LLC. Additionally, Blanca Diaz has extensive experience managing medical education programs in the United States, Europe and Italy for Alcon Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Ligand and Allergan Medical.
Blanca has been an active member of the Meeting Professionals International Greater New York Chapter since 1994 and served as president for the 2004-2005 year. She has held numerous leadership positions within the organization, including vice president, educational programs and vice president, finance. Blanca has also served as co-chair of the chapter’s annual fundraiser, the Terry Spinelli Auction and Social, and was the recipient of the Planner of the Year award. Blanca chaired the Past Presidents Council of Meeting Professionals International for the Greater New York Chapter. Blanca’s contributions to the meetings industry were recognized at the 2007 MPIGNY Annual Awards Gala where she was the recipient of the President’s Award.
Blanca received her Certified Meeting Professional designation in 1996. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pace University and a certificate in Meeting and Conference Management from New York University.
